After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Paul Kauffman began a career in real estate that has now exceeded 40 years. He is the president of Colony Realty Advisors, LLC, based in Fairfield, Connecticut. Paul Kauffman leads the national and international real estate advisory firm that represents only tenants and companies, providing independent guidance on relocations, lease renewals, expansions, consolidations, and long-term real estate strategy.
Paul Kauffman founded Colony Realty Advisors in 2025 after a distinguished career with two of the world's leading commercial real estate firms. He served as executive managing director at Jones Lang LaSalle from 2013 to 2025, and before that spent 28 years with Cushman & Wakefield, where he was executive director. With the latter firm, Paul Kauffman led strategic commercial real estate initiatives, advising clients on asset sales, leasing, and acquisitions on top of identifying new business opportunities, guiding high-value transactions, and optimizing clients’ portfolios.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kauffman has consistently been recognized as one of the country's top-producing commercial real estate professionals. His experience led him to the firm belief that the best way to serve clients was through a company dedicated exclusively to tenants. He founded Colony Realty Advisors to do just that, helping clients objectively navigate complex commercial real estate decisions.
Away from work, Mr. Kauffman values family time. He also enjoys outdoor activities like mountain biking, skiing, and traveling.
